The rental application

The rental application is the form a renter fills in from their portal. It saves as they go, so they can stop and come back. You can also fill it in on their behalf from the client’s Rental Application tab.

Sections

Personal information, employment, income, assets, liabilities, owned properties, co-applicants, privacy and consent with a typed signature, and how they heard about you. A previous employer is only asked for when the current job is under three years.

Required fields

Under Settings, Requirements, tick the fields a renter must complete before they can submit. Those show a red asterisk on the form, and the submit button stays off until they are filled. The same list is checked on the server.

Submitting and revisions

When they submit, you get an email and the application shows as submitted. Approve it, or request revisions from the client page; the renter sees what is missing and can resubmit.

Printing and PDF

Print the application, choosing which applicants to include, or download it as a PDF with page numbers. Settings, Print Report decides which sections appear.
